We are presenting a series of Plantation High Tea events on the last Sunday of each month kicking off from August – hosted in our French Quarter.

Indulge in an assortment of sweet and savoury treats such as lobster rolls, southern fried chicken po’ boys, avocado & green harissa rolls, plantation rolls with bourbon & peach marmalade and blood plum jam, as well as s’mores with passionfruit and chocolate ganache, fruit flan and lemon meringue tartlet. This will be accompanied by your choice of bottomless house-made non-alcoholic Southern Iced Tea, or freshly squeezed lemonade. Every Sunday for lunch, you can indulge in unlimited smoked meats for just $65 per person.

You’ll receive endless amounts of all our smoked meats including Rangers Valley Black Onyx brisket, slow-roasted and hot-smoked pork shoulder, blackened organic chicken with Creole spices, free range Milly Hill cold-smoked lamb and NOLA’s Andouille Cajun-spiced sausage.

Plus, you can order one side per person choosing from the likes of fries with sweet and spicy BBQ salt, Southern slaw or fried Brussels sprouts with blue cheese mayo and hot sauce.

*Diners will kick off with a shared Pit-Master’s Pick plate of meats and can then continue to order as much meat as they want, in 50g instalments per person. Our Melbourne Cup event is going into the fourth round!

This time seated and of course COVID-safe but guaranteed to be as much fun as our previous, sold-out events.

NOLA Smokehouse and Bar will be the buzziest spot in Barangaroo for Melbourne Cup this year. Tickets are $175pp and include a glass of Champagne Taittinger on arrival, a shared 4-course set menu feast for you to enjoy while you watch the race that stops the nation, and a paired 2hr beverage package including still and sparkling wines, beer, and soft drinks. The beverage package starts at the start time of your reservation.

Prefer to order drinks on consumption on the day? Opt for our $115 package instead!

We’ll be adhering to current COVID regulations which means there are less tickets available than previous years, so get in quick!

Thanksgiving originated as a harvest festival in the United States in the 16th century. We will celebrate this special day at NOLA with a generous sharing menu.

Our Thanksgiving sharing menu will be the only menu available for lunch & dinner on 26th November 2020.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day this year at Sydney’s most vibrant water view restaurant.

Enjoy Executive Chef Troy Spencer‘s carefully curated lunch and dinner menu whilst taking in the romantic views over Barangaroo’s new Watermans Cove and Jones Bay Wharf. You and your Valentine will start off with a complimentary glass of Champagne Taittinger Cuvée Prestige before indulging in a progressive eight-dish New Orleans, Louisiana inspired culinary experience.

If you can’t get enough of our smoked meats and seafood focussed delicacies, you can add an optional BBQ Shellfish Platter including Half Shell Scallops with Lemon Curd, Moreton Bay Bug with Sweetcorn Custard, and Large Yamba Bay Prawns with Creole Butter on top.

Vegetarian alternatives will be available on the day. The Valentine’s Day menu will be the only menu available for lunch and dinner on Sunday 14th February. Advance bookings are essential.

Celebrate Mom with lunch overlooking Barangaroo’s Jones Bay Wharf this Mother’s Day.

After we had to miss out on getting the family together last year, we’re going all out this Mother’s Day with a 12-dish feast to celebrate the family matriarch.

Adults: $99pp | Kids 1-11yo: $50pp

Designed around the Pit-Master’s Pick featuring our famous beef brisket, pulled pork, blackened chicken and lamb shoulder, you’ll start with oysters shucked to order and will also indulge in the likes of sweet style Southern cornbread, charred octopus and honey smoked pork belly, a selection of sides, and Eton Mess with burnt honey cream, roasted quince and macadamia. Plus Mum will even be able to take home a surprise gift!

For the youngsters, we will serve a special kids menu including a choice of fried flat head fillets or scotch fillet with salad and fries, followed by a chocolate mousse cake as dessert.

This May, for the first time since opening our doors four years ago, the French Quarter whiskey lounge can be turned into a 24-seat exclusive Private Dining space. With access to your own bar and wait-staff, and plus lounges surrounding the dining table you’ll be able to host pre-meal canapés and drinks as well as post-meal desserts and kick-ons in one private space.

The exclusive New Orleans-inspired private dining menus in the French Quarter lounge start at $125pp and are specifically designed by Head Chef Troy Spencer for decadent feasting and truly private lounging. The $125pp drinks package for 2.5hrs including a cocktail on arrival and free-flowing magnums of Champagne Taittinger and still wines are optional however add that extra bit of sparkle. Alternatively, bottle service packages are available as well.

Book your next celebration, corporate event or just kick back like royalty with premium Southern smoked BBQ meats and fresh seafood.

A minimum spend of $5,000 for food and/or beverages applies, as well as a 10% gratuity on the final bill which will be passed on to the team looking after you. In the spirit of lifting spirits (quite literally), our team have put together a month-long series of Rye whiskey specials including an online charity raffle with all proceeds going to Starlight Children’s Foundation supporting seriously ill children in Australia.

Rye July (& August) 2021 at NOLA Smokehouse and Bar includes Rye Cocktail specials that will make you reimagine this spirit completely, an Ultimate Rye Whiskey Flight including some of the most sought-after whiskeys available in the Southern Hemisphere, a Ryemisu Dessert Special, and a special-edition Whiskey Wednesday on 25th August where the winners of the month-long online charity raffle will be announced. The total prize value exceeds $2,000 with the first prize being a bottle of the extremely rare Van Winkle Family Reserve 13yr Rye that has only been re-released in Australia recently with a mere 12 bottles in circulation in bars across the country.

Join us on 25th August between 5pm-9pm for a special-edition Rye July (& August) Whiskey Wednesday.

To top off our months of Rye July (& August), Geraint “Gee” David will guide you through the Buffalo Trace Distillery’s Rye Whiskeys, including Sazerac, E.H. Taylor and the extremely rare Van Winkle Family Reserve 13yr Rye. As usual at NOLA’s Whiskey Wednesdays, our entire whiskey selection will be 25% off, plus for this edition we’ll be serving $22 Rye July Cocktails, and our Ultimate Rye July Flight for $125. Plus we’re of course serving our $25 250g Dry Rubbed Carolina Style Pork Rib Plates with Chips & Slaw – available only on Whiskey Wednesdays.

At the height of the evening, the winners of our charity raffle for Starlight Children’s Foundation will be drawn and announced in-venue by “Gee”. Prizes include a NOLA dining voucher worth $250, three “Sazerac” Cocktail Kits valued at $190 each, and the grand prize of one bottle of the Van Winkle Family Reserve 13yr Rye, valued at approximately $1,400. Raffle tickets are $10 per entry with all proceeds going to Starlight Children’s Foundation supporting sick kids in Australia.

The Race That Stops A Nation

If there’s one thing we’ve learned these last months it’s how to stop. This Melbourne Cup, Executive Chef Troy Spencer has put together a show-stopping shared lunch menu like no other. Featuring 13 New Orleans, Louisiana-inspired dishes including an MB3+ Rangers Valley Rib Eye on the bone, you’ll start this luncheon with a glass of Champagne Taittinger Cuvée Prestige before indulging in the likes of fresh oysters, seared beef tartare, dry rubbed Carolina pork ribs, and more.

In true NOLA style, our Melbourne Cup 2021 menu will be served progressively as a shared menu. Reservations are available for start times between 11.30am until 1pm and we’ll be screening the race live on big screens at 3pm. The event concludes at 3.30pm however you are welcome to remain in the venue until 5pm.

Whiskey Blending Competition

NOLA Reservoir Whiskey Blend Competition 2021

Help us pick our blend’s mash bill & great prizes to win

NOLA & B.R.A.S.S have collaborated with Reservoir Distillery to release a unique American Whiskey Blend comprised of 100% Corn Bourbon, 100% Rye Whiskey, and 100% Wheat Whiskey, but we need you to help choose the perfect ratio, and pick our blend’s “mashbill”.

Guests will collaborate in small teams to submit blends for judging by our panel of whiskey tasters, with the winning recipe going on to be bottled and shipped to Australia in early 2022. The team that produces our signature blend will be awarded a bottle each for their efforts, along with even more prizes awarded throughout the night. To explore some of the many blending possibilities, in a series of rounds, we will take inspiration from prominent mashbills from across the U.S. including High Rye Bourbon, Wheated Bourbon and Kentucky Rye Whiskey recipes. A selection of southern-style smoked meats and sides will be provided between rounds.

Sydney’s Home of the Thanksgiving Feast

Our annual Thanksgiving Feast has become an institution in the Sydney dining scene. Every year on the last Thursday of November, you’ll be able to indulge in a lunch and dinner experience like no other. The shared $100pp Thanksgiving menu is anything but traditional and features our famous contemporary NOLA Sydney twist on classic dishes such as Southern Fried Chicken, Smoked Ham Hock, Southern Cornbread, Mac ‘n’ Cheese, and many more.

But, really, what would Thanksgiving be without a turkey? The star of this year’s 12-dish-feast is served Creole BBQ style with our signature cranberry sauce. Groups of 8 or more will be able to indulge in a whole, carved turkey, whereas smaller tables will receive carved portions.

Don’t leave it until too late. Advance bookings are essential.

We invite you to partake in the festivities of New Orleans Mardi Gras, with a night of live music and cocktails as we dress up for the carnival! We’ve partnered with Southern Comfort to create three delicious cocktails, a group serve Champagne Punch, and two limited availability dishes from the restaurant.

In true Mardi Gras style, a roaming brass band will make an appearance from 6pm, playing traditional tunes straight from the Big Easy. We recommend booking a table in the bar to avoid missing out!
